Volunteer Registration Site Manager (Volunteer Role)

2022 marked the 50th anniversary of Pride in the UK which was an historic milestone; it's now an exciting time to join Pride in London as a volunteer as we build for the future!
Pride in London has a renewed sense of purpose to highlight the challenges still facing the LGBT+ community today despite progress. We are run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity and are drawn from all walks of life. Pride aims to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow all of our community to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.
Around 150 people volunteer year-round to help us deliver what has become a world-class Pride. It is our intention for Pride in London to best represent all parts of our community.

This is an exciting volunteer opportunity reporting into the Director of People & Training this role is critical to the success of Pride in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of our on-the-day volunteer registration site.
Your Role
- Sourcing and management of the registration site for our 1200+ on-the-day volunteers.
- Support in the efficient deployment of on-the-day volunteers.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is in place for volunteers - including radios, t-shirts, lunch packs, etc.
- Recruit and train a registration team who are able to operate a deployment system and proactively deliver the right number of volunteers to the parade and Pride footprint
- Attend required meetings with as part of the People & Training Team and occasional representation at Ops team meetings to ensure joint co-ordination of volunteer deployment.
Your Profile
- The ability to work to a time line and keep workflow on track
- Strong leadership skills to manage the Registration team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills (phone skills, in person, e-mails, chats and IM’s)
- Detail oriented, strong organisational skills
- Pro-active and creative thinker
- Previous experience in Events project management and events registration, registration platforms and familiarity with registration deliverables
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite skills, especially MS Excel/ Google Sheets
- Proficiency in various software applications such as spreadsheets, databases to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports

Pride in London is wholly run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBT+ communities and improve the event.
