2022 marked the 50th anniversary of Pride in the UK and we are now planning for the future, making it an exciting time to join Pride in London as a volunteer.
Pride in London has a renewed sense of purpose to highlight the challenges still facing the LGBT+ community today despite progress. We are run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity and are drawn from all walks of life. Pride aims to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow all of our community to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.
Around 150 people volunteer year-round to help us deliver what has become a world-class Pride. It is our intention for Pride in London to best represent all parts of our community.
We continue to actively encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, particularly women, people of colour and those from the trans and non-binary communities
Your Role
Pride in London has a small collection of corporate sponsors that support with funding for us to deliver the Pride Event. Partner Relationship Manager's assist our partners with their activations, general participation in the parade and other 365 day Pride in London related activity
Your responsibilities:
- Oversee the activation management of all allocated partnerships agreements within your own personal portfolio.
- Liaise with the New Business Manager to ensure smooth transition of partner relationship.
- Attend weekly meetings to ensure you have completed all activation requirements.
- Drive effective communications with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual activations are completed.
- Be the first point of contact for any partners within your portfolio should they experience a problem or have a query about their activation.
- Lead feedback sessions at the end of each partnership to detail out potential changes for the future and report back to the wider team.
- Attend various team and client events throughout the year to build relationships and promote Pride in London.
Who you are
- Experience in corporate partnerships and/ or client relationships within a professional organisation
- Must be able to build effective relationships with corporate employees whilst keeping the PiL organisational strategic aims at the forefront of everything you do
- Must be a good team player with exceptional communication skills
- Must have evening and weekend availability to run and/or attend team meetings and client events
What you’ll need:
Ability to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving
Possess great organisation skills, exceptional communication skills and a proactive attitude, demonstrating gravitas when building relationships
Full of energy and ideas that you can bring to the organisation
Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to devise and implement strategies to benefit both the company and the client
Excellent understanding of report writing
Strong verbal communicator at all levels

Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

About Pride in London
Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBT+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
