Purpose of Role

The Deputy Head of Stages will support the Head of Stages in delivering an authoritative, inclusive and diverse production across four sites on the day of Pride in London: Leicester Square, Dean Street, Golden Square, Trafalgar Square, and including when required additional talent support to Family Area.

The Deputy Head of Stages will be the first point of contact for each of the Production Managers looking after each stage and will have an overview of all stage activity. They will ensure that all stages are run in accordance with the Pride in London criteria and deputise where necessary for the Head of Stages.

The role requires interaction with performers, suppliers, community group and other affiliates of Pride in London so good communication skills are key.

Role responsibilities

  • Collection, monitoring and recording of all stage content from artist. This includes tracks, lyrics, production requirements and any other relevant information. This is mainly email based and requires requesting and then recording all data as it is sent in. 


  • Assist in the recruitment of team & ongoing review of structure 
  • Regular, scheduled meetings with team
  • Role model for Pride in London’s values and behaviours 
  • Support by providing necessary tools/knowledge/experience to enable delivery of plans
  • Identifies talent to ensure succession within team
  • Set realistic objectives for team in line with HOS objectives


  • Seeks out opportunities to reduce or remove costs, such production costs


  • Ensure that production is in the interests of the LGBT+ community and meet with diversity and inclusion

Pride in London

  • Seeks out opportunity to extend & drive reach, propelling brand globally

Specific Stages

  • Works with events partner to ensure costs are minimised whilst providing LGBT+ audiences with a memorable experience and shows

Person Specification

  • Experience in the field isn’t necessary but the candidate should be proactive, amenable and organised. They must have a can-do attitude and want to be part of the Pride in London Stages Team. The role can be email and admin heavy especially in the few weeks leading up to Pride in London. It often will mean juggling conflicting deadlines.
  • The ability to influence and communicate at all levels of the organisation as well as cross functionally is key
  • Lead by example, a role model to direct reports and broader team, upholding Pride in London’s values.
  • The role typically can take around 12-16 hours a week with more required in the weeks before Pride in London. You should also be free to work on the day of Pride in London.
