The Operations team manages all the events that happen at Pride in London on Saturday 27th June 2020 which include the Parade, the stages in Trafalgar, Leicester and Golden Square, the family area, World area, accessibility across the footprint plus the 1000+ volunteers who volunteer with us on the day.
You will help the operations team to keep our records (meeting notes) up to date and support the Director of Operations by keeping track of action points and attendance at our meetings.
Role responsibilities
Reporting to the Director and Deputy Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include:
- The admin volunteer will attend the Operations meetings to take notes and assign actions.
- updating the Director of Operations on outstanding items
- arranging volunteers from other parts of the organisation to attend the Operations meetings when required
- liaising with other Pride volunteers
- There will also be opportunities to help run the event on the day.

- Enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the LGBT+ community
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to set and work to deadlines.
- Great communicator, with the skills to discuss, develop new ideas.
- Creative thinker
- Self-motivated and has the confidence to solve problems independently
- Experience with project management

- Attention to detail.
Requirement and commitment
This role requires a long-term commitment. Time required will vary week by week, and by team. Team members will be able to share the workload. On average, you can expect the post to take 4-6 hours per week which will increase in the lead up to Pride.
Work can be done at home, although we will require attendance at regular Operations Team Meetings (usually on a Saturday morning in central London).
