We're volunteers with limited time, and so we focus on producing content that benefits Pride year round. If you're about more than going viral, this could be the role for you.

The Digital Team look after Pride's online presence, most importantly our website and app. The team has grown rapidly in the last few years as we've delivered more and more complex projects for Pride. There are around 35 of us working together to build products and services that give Pride meaning year round e.g. Year round events or a content hub of community stories. You won't meet a more passionate bunch!

The Content Lead role is brand new, as we recognised this year there was a need for someone to keep an eye on the content we have online and make sure that it's the best that it can be. We're looking for someone who is creative but organised, someone who can inspire a team and also produce content themselves.

In this role you'll be:

  • Leading a team producing digital and creative content, making sure that the output is high quality, on brand and SEO optimised
  • Building a content calendar of updates across our digital platforms and ensuring these are executed on time and to scope
  • Working with our Product and Design team to enhance key areas of our website and app with engaging content
  • Ensuring that all information is written in plain English in the Pride tone of voice and remains up to date
  • Working with our Data team to measure and improve the effectiveness of our content
  • Responsible for how we communicate with our users using our messaging tool Intercom

What you get out of it:

  • The chance to prove that a volunteer organisation can produce effective content with limited time and resources
  • To shape a new team with the people and skills you need to be successful
  • To lead a team of passionate LGBTQ+ creatives
  • The opportunity to work with a diverse product team and learn new skills

Time commitment

Each week you'll usually spend between 4-8 hours on Pride work e.g. a couple of evenings or a Saturday. This includes a mixture of catchups, meetings and actual work. Depending on the projects we have on the go some weeks will be busier than others, but we know everyone has full time jobs and social lives so try to give plenty of notice of what's coming up.

We don't count it as Pride time, but the Digital team are a pretty social team and get together when we can for fun too.

Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit? Let them know!

Our Culture

Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.

Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join the organisation so we can provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community.
