Your Pride In London

Pride in London is wholly run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBT+ community and improve the event.

Together, we run the UK’s biggest, most diverse pride, and our job is to make sure we provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.

Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.

Around 250 people volunteer year-round to help us deliver what has become a world-class Pride.  It is our intention for Pride in London to best represent all parts of our community and we’ll do this by welcoming more women and those from the BAME, trans and non-binary communities into the organisation. All applications are important to us so if you’d like to be part of the future of Pride in London please register your interest or share this opportunity with your network.

Your new team

Our fundraising team is key to making Pride in London happen. The event is expensive to run and the show couldn’t go on without their efforts encouraging generous donations from thousands of individuals every year. The team work tirelessly year round across a range of activities from running glamorous events like our Gala Dinner, to partnering with community groups or simply hitting the streets with a Pride in London fundraising bucket.

The fundraising team is responsible for growing financial donations and commercial income that allow Pride in London to continue to grow the event and its support of the LGBT+ community. You will be part of a team that is responsible for generating high levels of income. One of the key funding streams is through the sale of stalls for various organisations to interact with attendees across the footprint of the day of Pride.

Your new volunteer role

Responsibilities include selling tables and tickets for our Gala Dinner and other special events in the Pride calendar. The roles requires good confidence and networking skills, sale skills and excellent communication skills.

Experience in sales/cold calling and a background in corporate / business sale is desirable.

The role will require contribution all year round of on average 2 hours per week, with increased commitment during the last two months leading up to the Gala Dinner of approx. 6 hours per week.

Our Culture

Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.

Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join the organisation so we can provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community.
