Here at Pride we manage our product development in house. Our website and app has been custom built from the ground up by our volunteers. This means that we can create the best user journeys for Pride's needs. As we are volunteer based, we do sometimes rely on third party platforms, particularly for application forms and processing payments/donations, hence the need for a candidate that can help track our conversions as the platforms are not all connected.

Who you are

Everyone working with Pride in London is a volunteer, so this role requires someone that is independent enough to set their own schedule but enough of a team player to ensure that tasks meet the needs of key stakeholders, brand guidelines and milestones.

In this role you'll be

  • Managing a small team of analytics/SEO experts to create guidelines, processes and the overall strategy for managing analytics in the organisation
  • Investigating the tools and platforms we use, and configuring/briefing how they should be set up to measure data points effectively
  • Building dashboards of key data points that measure the success of the goals for our initiatives
  • Analysing data to provide recommendations for our roadmap based on problem areas/opportunity for growth

What you’ll get out of this role

  • Freedom to test out tools and platforms you might not get to use in your day job.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring more junior analytics professionals.
  • The chance to work on end to end multi-disciplinary projects and learn from Content, Design, Product, Project Management, Tech and User Research experts.
  • Experience in defining and executing an analytics strategy for a human rights organisation that is also one of London's biggest events.
  • A nice feeling, knowing you're using your skills to make a difference.

What you’ll get out of volunteering at Pride in London

  • A friendly and welcoming induction course and a variety of training that’s offered throughout the year.
  • A chance to broaden your professional network
  • Play an important part in delivering the Pride in London event.
  • Social opportunities to meet the diverse and friendly bunch who volunteer for Pride in London.

Time commitment

As a lead, we ask for a bit more time than other volunteers at around 6/8 hours per week. You can volunteer at whatever time suits you, but it's easier to think of it as two evenings per week dedicated to Pride in London. This will include a mixture of meetings, workshops and emails/messages throughout the week. We try our best to work asynchronously where we can, but we like to make decisions together on a call.

About Pride in London

Pride in London means many things to many people, it belongs to our community and it belongs to you; come and join the conversation!

Pride in London has a renewed sense of purpose to highlight the challenges still facing the LGBT+ community today despite progress. We are run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity and are drawn from all walks of life. Pride aims to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow all of our community to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.

Around 200 people volunteer year-round to help us deliver what has become a world-class Pride. We welcome applications from everybody, and are especially keen to attract new volunteers from the BAME, Trans, Bi, Non-binary and Queer communities who we would love to see more widely represented in our organisation.

 About the Marketing team

Pride in London’s team is formed of a group of passionate individuals who give up their time to promote the campaigns, brand and products of Pride in London. Pride in London is known for its award-winning campaigns like #PrideMatters #nofilter, #freedomto and #lovehappenshere and our most recent campaign #YouMeUsWe.

The team comprises Campaigns, Design, Brand, Events, Media, Digital and Insight – all feeding into Pride in London’s reason for existing: to continue to fight for true equality and challenge prejudices that the LGBT+ communities still face on a daily basis.

Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit? Let them know!

Our Culture

Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.

Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join the organisation so we can provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBT+ community.
