Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!
Your Role
As an Event Coordinator for Pride in London, you will be responsible for the planning and organisation of one of our signature events—either the prestigious Pride Gala or the vibrant Pride Afterparty. This role requires strong organisational skills to develop and implement comprehensive plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation. Working within our Special Projects Manager, you will help ensure the successful delivery of an unforgettable celebration that supports Pride in London's mission and engages our diverse communities.
This role has a flexible start time however we would be looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
Please be aware this is a VOLUNTEER role
The average weekly commitment would be up to and around 4-6 hours per week.

Planning and Organisation: Developing and implementing plans for projects, events or programs, including timeless, budgets and resource allocation.
Communication: Communication effectively with team members, clients and other stakeholders to convey project updates, requests, and ensure alignment.
Coordination: Working with different teams or departments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time, and that resources are utilised effectively.
Tracking and Monitoring: Monitoring projects progress, tracking deadlines, and reporting on key metrics to ensure projects stay on track.
Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the project or event, to have a smooth execution
Support: Proving administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and managing communications.
What you'll bring to the role:
Strong communication skills: Effective communication with team members, clients and stakeholders is crucial.
Excellent organizational skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and keep track of deadlines.
Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks and projects.
Time management skills: managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Working independently to manage tasks and projects, while also collaborating with others, to achieve common goals.

Experience in Event Management: London Pride is a large scale, multi site event, giving you the opportunity to gain or build up on previous event management experience. Building skills in organisation, communication, co-ordination and problem solving across the process.
Networking Opportunities: Volunteers often get the chance to work alongside and interact with key figures and groups within the LGBTQ+ community as well as hundreds of volunteers from all walks of life.
Fun and Enjoyment: Volunteering at Pride puts you within a fun, celebratory and vibrant atmosphere, with the opportunity to volunteer at both Pride Event Day and many other events year round.
Contribution to Social Change: Through volunteering with Pride In London, you will actively be contributing to the ongoing fight for equality and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, and in turn, helping to create a more inclusive society.

Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.
Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.
We're looking for enthusiastic people to join the organisation so we can provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBTQ+ community.

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
