Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Your Role
We are seeking a proactive, creative Communications Officer - PR to join our media-facing team. Ahead of Parade day, you will elevate Pride's external presence across channels by responding to media inquiries, promoting events and leveraging news opportunities, while on Parade day, you will support the Communications team with on-side media relations and logistical support. This is a role for a well-organised, enthusiastic storyteller passionate about spotlighting London's vibrant LGBTQ+ community. It requires a minimum of 4 - 6 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities
Work closely with the wider Pride team to promote positive press coverage
Build media contacts and pitch engaging Pride in London stories
Craft quick, publication-ready responses to media requests
Develop creative promotions to spotlight Pride in London happenings
Support Pride in London communications team and wider team with media accreditation
Align with social media and marketing teams on messaging
Promote Pride in diverse media outlets and new markets
Work with sponsors/partners to co-promote relevant campaigns
What you'll bring to Pride in London
Experience securing coverage across print, online, TV and radio media
Passionate communicator experienced working with diverse media outlets
Strong writer able to craft and tailor stories for specific publications
Thrives in quick-paced high-profile environments
Resourceful self-starter driven to raise Pride's profile
Organised multi-tasker able to juggle multiple projects
Team player motivated to creatively spotlight LGBTQ+ community

Our Culture
Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.
Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.
We're looking for enthusiastic people to join the organisation so we can provide a platform for every part of London’s LGBTQ+ community.
About Pride in London
Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
