Your role
The Digital Developer Lead role is essential in maintaining Pride in London's comprehensive digital platform that serves our community, partners, and sponsors. You'll provide technical expertise in managing our website whilst ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience across all areas including community engagement, event management, and partnership recognition. This role ensures our digital platform upholds our values of Visibility, Unity, and Equality, creating an accessible online space that supports all aspects of Pride in London's mission.
As the Digital Developer, you will manage the technical aspects of our comprehensive website whilst collaborating with Communications, Events, and Partnerships teams to deliver compelling digital experiences across all areas of Pride in London's work.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain Pride in London's website using modern CMS platforms (currently Contentful)
Ensure website security, performance optimisation, and regular backups
Coordinate with Communications, Events, and Partnerships teams on website updates and content publishing
Develop and maintain event features, partner showcases, and sponsorship recognition areas
Monitor website analytics and implement SEO best practices for accessibility compliance
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Experience with modern CMS platforms (Contentful experience preferred but not essential) including content modeling and API management
Proficient web development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar)
Strong understanding of headless CMS architecture, REST APIs, and GraphQL
Experience with website hosting, domain management, SSL certificates, and security protocols
Knowledge of SEO optimisation, website analytics, and e-commerce integration
Role Details
This is a volunteer role with commitment of 4-6 hours per week, increasing to 8-10 hours during event periods. Remote working available with occasional in-person meetings.

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
