To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Are you a passionate and experienced marketing professional looking to make a direct impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals? We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Deputy Director of Marketing to play a crucial leadership role within our volunteer team.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you will help develop, implement, and oversee integrated marketing strategies that expand our charity's reach, amplify the voices of the community we serve, and drive engagement for our fundraising initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to use your high-level strategic skills to champion our mission and grow a dynamic, impact-focused marketing function.
Your Responsibilities
The Deputy Director of Marketing will be responsible for the following key areas:
Strategic Support: Assist the Director in drafting and executing the annual marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission and organisational goals.
Campaign Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of Pride in London’s annual brand campaign across digital, social media, and traditional channels to promote events, services, and fundraising appeals.
Team Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for the volunteer marketing team, helping to delegate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Content Oversight: Review and approve key marketing materials, ensuring all public-facing content is accurate, brand-consistent, and reflects the appropriate tone and sensitivity for the LGBTQ+ community.
Brand Stewardship: Help maintain and evolve the charity’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and strong representation across all volunteer-led communications
What you'll bring to Pride in London
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic, technical, and interpersonal skills, including:
Strategic Marketing Planning: Proven ability to contribute to and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing plans.
Leadership & Delegation: Experience guiding and motivating a team of volunteers or staff members and managing project workloads effectively.
Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong working knowledge of core digital channels, including social media platforms, SEO, email marketing, and web content management.
Brand Management: Understanding of how to maintain brand integrity and tone in a mission-driven environment.
Time Management & Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a volunteer capacity.
Knowledge of the LGBTQ+ Community: A deep, empathetic understanding of the issues, language, and cultural nuances relevant to the diverse LGBTQ+ community.
A Chance to Build New Connections: Pride In London is made up of a diverse collection of individuals, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, allies and activists.
Sense of Volunteer Purpose and Contribution: Volunteering with Pirde In London gives you the chance to be part of an important annual event which creates an impact on over a million attendees. Many of who it may be their first Pride or their first time in London.
Networking Opportunities: Volunteers often get the chance to work alongside and interact with key figures and groups within the LGBTQ+ community aswell as hundreds of volunteers from all walks of life.
Fun and Enjoyment: Volunteering at Pride puts you within a fun, celebratory and vibrant atmosphere, with the opportunity to volunteer at both Pride Event Day and many other events year round.
Contribution to Social Change: Through volunteering with Pride In London, you will actively be contributing to the ongoing fight for equality and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, and in turn, helping to create a more inclusive society

Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
