With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Your Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will support Pride in London’s finance function by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring strong financial governance across the organisation. This role plays a vital part in enabling Pride in London to operate transparently, responsibly, and sustainably as a volunteer-powered, non-profit organisation.
You will work closely with the finance team, volunteers, and suppliers, supporting day-to-day financial processes and contributing to reporting and year-end preparation. This role is ideal for someone who wants to apply or develop their finance skills while contributing to a purpose-driven organisation in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This role has a flexible start time; we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
This role carries an average volunteer commitment of approximately 6-8 hours per week, working flexibly around other commitments.
Experience using Xero is essential
This is a year-round volunteer role supporting both operational and event-related finance activities.
Your Responsibilities
Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records
Process purchase invoices, staff and volunteer expenses, and reconcile transactions
Support monthly finance reporting and financial tracking
Assist with year-end financial processes and audit preparation
Uphold strong financial governance in line with non-profit standards
Liaise professionally with internal teams, volunteers, and suppliers
What you'll bring to Pride in London
Finance & Bookkeeping Skills: Experience working with financial records; Xero experience essential
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and care when working with numbers and financial data
Organisation & Reliability: Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Confidentiality & Trust: Comfortable handling sensitive financial information discreetly
Willingness to Learn: Open to developing skills and knowledge within a supportive team
Collaboration: Able to work constructively with volunteers and teams across the organisation
Adaptability: Flexible and resilient approach to working in a volunteer-led environment

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
