To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Your Role
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing Pride in London’s financial reporting, controls, and compliance, ensuring the organisation operates transparently and in line with non-profit and charity best practice. This role provides professional finance oversight to support strategic decision-making and the successful delivery of Pride in London’s year-round activities and main event.
You will work closely with the finance team, bookkeepers, senior volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and timely financial insight. This role is ideal for a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or an experienced finance professional, who wants to contribute their expertise to a values-led, volunteer-powered organisation.
This role has a flexible start time; we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
This role carries an average volunteer commitment of approximately 6–8 hours per week, with flexibility around peak periods.
Availability to support financial preparation around the Pride event and year-end is essential.
This is a year-round volunteer role with increased involvement during key reporting periods.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts and review work completed by bookkeepers
Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with non-profit standards
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Lead preparation for year-end accounts and liaise with auditors or independent examiners
Provide financial insight and advice to senior volunteers and operational leads
Ensure compliance with relevant financial, charity, and regulatory requirements
What you'll bring to Pride in London
Accounting Expertise: Qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent professional experience in accounting or finance
Financial Reporting Skills: Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements
Governance & Compliance: Strong understanding of financial controls and non-profit or charity governance (desirable)
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret financial data and provide clear, actionable insight
Attention to Detail: High standards of accuracy and consistency
Organisation & Time Management: Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Communication Skills: Confidence in explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a volunteer-led, fast-moving environment

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
