Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Your Role
As a Motion Designer, you will bring the Pride in London brand to life through movement. In an increasingly digital world, your role is crucial in creating engaging video content, social media animations, and dynamic assets for our event screens (including the main stage at Trafalgar Square). You will turn static designs into captivating stories that stop the scroll and inspire our community.
This role carries an average volunteer commitment of approximately 6–8 hours per week, with increased demand during the campaign launch and event week.

Your Responsibilities
Create high-quality motion graphics for social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) and digital OOH.
Animate assets for the main event, including stage backdrops and sponsor loops.
Collaborate with the creative team to translate static campaign art into motion.
Edit short-form video content for various marketing channels.
Ensure all motion assets are optimized for various platforms and technical requirements.
Maintain a consistent visual style across all animated content.
What you'll bring to Pride in London
Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro (Cinema 4D is a plus).
Motion Portfolio: A showreel demonstrating a strong sense of timing, rhythm, and layout.
Visual Flair: An eye for colour, typography, and composition.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and compression for different platforms.
Time Management: Ability to deliver high-quality assets within tight deadlines.
Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: A passion for using visual storytelling to advocate for LGBTQ+ equality.

Our volunteers are driven and passionate about what they do. Putting on one of London's largest one-day events requires dedication and perseverance.
Although a lot of our work is completed remotely, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with your team and others throughout the year to not only plan what's ahead but to socialise too.

Pride in London is run in majority by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any surplus funds we raise are used to support the LGBTQ+ communities and improve the event.
Pride in London includes people of every race and faith, whether disabled or able-bodied, and all sexualities and genders including lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, queer, questioning, intersex, trans*, genderqueer, gender variant or non-binary as well as straight and cis allies.
